Boss Audio Elite MPD740.5 5 Channel Class D Amplifier, 740W, IP66, with Remote Subwoofer Control

Built with a dedicated subwoofer channel in mind, the Boss Audio Elite MPD740.5 is a five-channel Class D amplifier with a 740-watt high output rating and a remote subwoofer level control. Boss describes it as a car amplifier, and it also carries an IP66 rating against dust and weather. It can be configured as five, four, three or two channels, is bridgeable, and remains stereo stable at 2 ohms.

Signal shaping comes from high-pass and low-pass filters, bass boost and adjustable input sensitivity, with low-level RCA inputs taking the pre-amp signal from a head unit. Power is managed by a PWM MOSFET supply, and thermal, short and overload protection circuits are built in. Illuminated LED end panels finish the 15.3-inch-long chassis, which suits drivers who want to run full-range speakers and a subwoofer from one amplifier.
