Each speaker pairs a DMA-optimized woofer with a mica-filled polypropylene cone and a 0.75-inch treated silk dome tweeter. A second-order high-pass filter with solid-state protection is built in to help guard the tweeter. Construction is meant for saltwater use and surpasses international test standards for salt fog and UV exposure. Stainless steel screws and washers plus a cutout template are supplied, and JL Audio backs the pair with a 3-year manufacturer warranty.
