With four main channels and a dedicated subwoofer channel, the JL Audio XDM1000/5 can run a full speaker system and a sub from one chassis. At 4 ohms it produces 75 watts RMS on each main channel and 400 watts RMS on the subwoofer channel, rising to 100 watts and 600 watts respectively at 2 ohms. JL Audio designed the XDM line to serve boats and cars alike.

NexD switching technology pushes overall efficiency above 80 percent, which lowers current draw and heat. Differential-balanced inputs working with a dual-mode input filter reject noise, while fully variable filters and calibrated level controls sit under a sealed security cover. Rollback protection keeps the amplifier from shutting down because of thermal overload, and turn-on can be triggered by signal sensing, DC-offset sensing or a standard 12-volt lead. The powder-coated aluminum housing resists corrosion.
