Six matched channels give the JL Audio XDM600/6 the flexibility to power three pairs of speakers, or to be bridged into three channels of 200 watts RMS each at 4 ohms. Unbridged, every channel is rated at 75 watts RMS into 4 ohms or 100 watts RMS into 2 ohms. The chassis is 10.23 inches wide and weighs 5.8 pounds, a manageable size for tight equipment spaces on a boat or in a car.

JL Audio's NexD switching design exceeds 80 percent total efficiency, easing the load on the electrical system. Noise is kept in check by a dual-mode input filter paired with differential-balanced inputs, and the variable filters and calibrated adjustments are hidden beneath a sealed cover. The circuitry adapts its operation to avoid thermal events instead of cutting out, and three turn-on methods are offered: signal sensing, DC-offset sensing, or a conventional 12-volt remote lead. A powder-coated aluminum case helps fend off corrosion.
